_Overview_
We are looking to employ energetic, enthusiastic and fun individuals as Playworkers to join our busy team and support our thriving after school club service.
SASCS is a charitable, not for profit organisation, which provides breakfast, after school and holiday services to children and their families.
The school is one of the largest primary schools in the city and is recognised as a UNESCO Rights Respecting School.
- Responsibilities_
- Working as part of our established team to provide childcare for up to 85 children each day. Strong team working skills are essential.
- Offering activities such as art and crafts, science, baking, outdoor games, sports, and general supervision of children's play. Activities can be based on your interests and skills, we are always open to new ideas
- Striving hard to offer an excellent service to the children in our care. This involves regular participation in team briefing and evaluation sessions and having a genuine interest in being part of a highquality childcare environment.
- Requirements_
- You must have experience of working with groups of primary school aged children, in an out of school care environment or similar
- You must hold or be willing, in the future, to work towards a qualification which allows you to register with the SSSC as a Practitioner for the day care of children.
- Interview Arrangements_
Interviews will take place each day, Monday to Thursday in 30 min time slots from pm, week beginning 19th February 2024.

£10.75 per hour

- SASCS term time weekly hours are 1.30pm to 6.00pm, 2.30pm to 6.00pm, 1.30pm to 6.00pm, pm and 10.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Please confirm that you would be available to work ALL of these shifts.
- SASCS operates everyday during school term time, as set by City of Edinburgh Council (available to view on the council website). Contracted hours will be during term time and no term time leave will be authorised. Please confirm you are aware of this requirement for term time working.
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (required)
