Description

Metalis are working with a well established company who has multiple sites across the UK.

They manufacture a variety of products for a range of different industries, using different processes involving heat treatment and casting.

They are looking to recruit a
Principle Electrical Engineer to join the team on a permanent and full-time basis. Reporting directly to the Plant Engineer, the role is supervisory and hands on.

Basic hours are 6am till 2pm, however flexibility is required on working hours to ensure smooth running of the plant.

Duties:

Respond immediately to breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs in a safe and timely manner.
Collate, prioritise, delegate and monitor work of the team.
Provide a daily written report on: work carried out by electrical team members, spares and stock levels, PPMs etc.
Implement scheduled PPM ensuring team are carrying them out in a timely and efficient manner.
Issue permits.
Deliver contractor inductions.
Health & Safety checks.
Apprentice trained in a relevant electrical discipline.
Have at least 5 years experience as an electrician, within a similar industrial environment.
Have previous experience in a supervisory role, within a similar industrial environment.
Be proficient in using own initiative to identify electrical faults and carry out repairs on electrical automated systems, including programming and fault finding on PLCs.
Demonstrate a strong general knowledge of Foundry / Heavy industrial machinery.
