Customer Service Officer
LOCATION:
Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB
PAY RATE:
£14.57 hour PAYE
START DATE:
ASAP
DURATION:
3-month initial contract/
Hours: 36 hours a week (8:45am - 5pm)
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
- To provide an efficient, quality and comprehensive corporate information and advice service to the public, employees of the Council and Members
- To be the first point of contact for customers both internal and external for a variety of service areas via all access channels promoting right firsttime principles to ensure customer enquiries are identified, understood and actioned in accordance with Hounslow's Customer Care Charter and customer care competencies.
- To actively encourage customers to selfserve, acting as a Digital Champion for the council ensuring customers are aware of the benefits of using the digital platform.
- To work on a rotation basis across all teams within customer services so you are conversant with the breadth and depth of customer service provision within Hounslow council.
- Due to the nature of the role, a good command of written and spoken English is essential.
Ideal Requirements
- Contact Centre experience dealing with a large volume of calls on a daytoday basis
- Experience of dealing with difficult customers and complex enquiries
- Knowledge of pcn's or parking would be ideal
