A great opportunity has become available to work in a support role in our Powder coating team, making high quality product for a range of different customers.

With opportunities for future progression, the successful applicants will carry out general duties in a workshop environment, e.g., painting, drilling, sanding, preparing product for paint, hanging and lifting product from production lines.

MAIN DUTIES

Preparing parts for the powder coating process including shot blasting and orbital sanding
Loading cages with parts for dip and prime
Emptying cages after dip and hanging on powder coating line
Removing parts after powder coating and completing visual quality check before passing to dispatch areas for final quality checks and packing
Packing parts on stillages and helping with dispatch

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience with handtools, abrasive wheels, drills etc
Awareness of the importance of health, safety and environmental concerns in a manufacturing plant
A good level of basic maths, plus the capacity to understand engineering drawings and use measuring equipment accurately.
Good communication skills, a 'cando' attitude and a willingness to rise to the challenges of a varied and physically demanding workload.

These positions are based on our Vow Road Powdercoating plant and will require successful applicants to be available for rotational shifts (usually 6 weeks on days: 8am - 5pm Monday-Thursday, Friday 8am - 1pm; then 3 weeks on nights: 4.45pm - 3.30am Monday-Thursday).
