Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Group Accountant to join a global Distribution business with offices in Leeds.
Reporting to the Head of Finance your key responsibilities will include:

Looking after the financials for 1 site

Working with depot and commercial teams to enhance profitability of the business
Producing reconciled monthly and year-end accounts in accordance with agreed timetables
Preparing annual statutory accounts, and assistance with external auditors
Central finance tasks/projects e.g. vehicle leasing, utilities, Capex analysis etc Providing strong technical accounting input both in terms of IFRS and FRS102
Assisting with quarterly external IFRS SAP
Supporting and developing reporting systems to assist local management, and to streamline and standardise reporting
Coordinating with auditors (both internal and external)
Ad hoc project work

Requirements:

Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA with a strong technical background
Excellent IT and reporting skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Good communication and presentation skills

The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 at home and there is the expectation to travel to the site, so a full UK driving licence is required.
