Full Time Work

Monday to Thursday 19:
, Friday 20:00-04:30


Overtime paid at 1.25 hourly rate, after 37.5hrs have been completed

Please note that this role will involve working in the warehouse also during shift travel times


Warehouse Operatives will be assigned to any warehouse operations including goods in, picking, scanning, dispatch/loading whilst working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

You will need to provide a professional service to all departments, ensuring all warehouse duties are completed accurately within required deadlines, and in a safe manner.


Requirements:


  • Full Driving Licence to drive a 7 Seater Van

  • Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to support business operations and customer demand.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Including Decision Making, Complexity and Contact with others


  • Drive 7 seater van to take colleagues to Northampton Warehouse and bring colleagues back from Northampton Warehouse to Leicester
  • Take delivery of goods and supplies
  • Check for damaged or missing items
  • Store goods appropriately
  • Pick and pack orders for dispatch
  • Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a fork lift truck
  • Load goods for dispatch
  • Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
  • Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system
  • Keep accurate stock records
  • Carry out stock counts daily
  • Keep paperwork up to date
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience required for role:

  • Experience of working in a Warehouse / Logistics business
  • Numerate and literate
  • Ability to use own initiative to problem solve
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Have a "can do" approach to tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically
  • Ability to plan and organise work
  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock items
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements
