37.5 hours per week to include early and late shifts

We are seeking an enthusiastic Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.


Norton Road comprises two buildings:
one with six two-bedroom flats, and one with five one-bedroom flats, 7 studio flats and a crash pad.

We provide supported housing for young people and adults aged 16 and over, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Supporting our residents to maximise their independence and move forward with their lives
  • Assisting with assessing residents' needs by writing and updating client notes/support and risk management plans
  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer and resident queries
  • Developing good relationships with residents, helping them develop life skills
  • Contributing to the financial sustainability of services provided, such as assisting with budget setting, managing voids to achieve optimum occupancy levels, and minimising rent arrears
  • Working with external agencies to support residents in accessing specialised support services
  • Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
  • Some health and safety responsibilities e.g. fire safety checks

Skills and experiences:


  • Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management
  • Good understanding of occupancy agreements
  • Previous experience working with people who have experienced homlessness is essential
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, sourcing innovative solutions to enhance the independence of clients
  • A positive and accepting approach to clients whatever their needs
  • Ability to keep accurate records and clearly communicate relevant information
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
