Gut Room Operatives in
Diss, near Ipswich.

Position Overview:


  • The rate of pay rate starts
    from £12.90 per hour up to £14.15 per hour, working 45 hours per week with earnings of
    £670 to £730 per week
  • This is a
    fulltime role working 5 days per week, 10 hours per day. 50 hours paid per week.

You will need your own transport to arrive on time for the shift.

Duties will include:


  • Cleaning and stripping down offal into different animal biproduct categories.
  • Labelling accurately so that the correct product is placed in the relevant container to await collection by the appropriate waste/byproduct carrier.
  • Harvesting, processing and distribution of natural casings, meat products and pharmaceutical products.
  • Maintain clean working practices to prevent slips and trips and avoid crosscontamination.
  • Dealing with manure, animal stomachs and intestines.
  • Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
