Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation in Gateshead on the appointment of a Payroll Administrator. You will join a close-knit team, with fantastic culture and flexibility.


Responsibilities


Validate and, where necessary, input into the payroll system timesheet and amended data received from the relevant authorised depot Managers.


  • Processing Payroll for Weekly paid employees
  • Validation of Tax, NI, SSP,SMP,SPP and SMP calculations
  • Checking net pay calculations before payment processing deadlines
  • Processing starters, leavers and salary changes including calculation of arrears and leaving entitlements
  • Completion of delegated payroll yearend duties
  • Resolving payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide reporting to internal departments and depots and resolve queries

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Previous experience working in a payroll team would be desired
  • Highly numerate
  • Experience of working in highpressure environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong system skills, including Excel

  • Able to effectively prioritise workload to meet deadlines

Job Types:

£26,000.00 per year
