We are currently working with a fantastic authority that is looking for an Interim Reporting Solution and Report Developer


Objective:


To develop a reporting solution and reports for social care and housing services at Slough Borough Council, which improves the council's evidence-based decision-making.


Activities:

  • Build Management Information reports for the housing service to enable:
  • Statutory returns
  • Regulatory returns
  • FoI responses
  • Management Information
  • Adapt existing Management Information reports for the adult social care service:
  • Editing existing reporting suite, once reports have been used in the service for an initial period
  • Collaborate with the council's IT service to move a serverbased solution to the cloud
  • Improve ETL processes
  • Upskill SBC staff to manage and iterate the processes and reports that are built

Skills:


  • Constructing data warehouses linked to case management systems
  • Designing and building ETL processes
  • Transforming data and building reports using SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, Report Builder, and Mobile Reports Publisher packages
  • Running testing and acceptance cycles with service staff
  • Understanding of cloudbased solutions, and how to migrate from server to cloud
  • Training staff to understand technical processes, manage them, and iterate them
