We are a vibrant, high energy and passionate organisation and we need staff that emanate that ethos. We are looking for an Assistant Events Team Leader to join our team and to take Rollerbeats to the next level of awesomeness


What you'll do


As the Events Team Leader you will be overseeing all of the responsibilities of the roller disco events, from planning & getting the kit ready to running the event and team on the day.


Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Assisting with managing a team (between 3 to 5 people)
  • Liaising with Rollerbeats office staff in advance of roller disco event/s and ensuring kit is ready for events & overseeing the maintenance of the kit
  • Making sure that everything runs smoothly on the day and be point of contact for staff and customers
  • Ensuring that health, safety and insurance regulations are followed at all times
  • Coming up with original ideas for events
  • Monitoring and reporting back to Rollerbeats management on quality of venues, customer experience and equipment
  • Assisting with publicising the event (marketing strategy)
  • Lifting and handling of equipment for set up
  • DJ duties (no experience required this will form part of your training)
  • Get to know our customers and make their experience personal and make them feel part of the Rollerbeats 'gang'
  • Driving our Long Wheeled Based van to and from venues
  • Most of all ensure our customers and staff have an amazing time at all events

Working hours, patterns and environment
We will work a Monday to Sunday rotation and your shifts will be organised around our events. Expectation of 12 to 16 hours per week (with scope for more as role develops)


Travelling will be a major component of this job - we are based in Stirling and our kit and van are based there.

Transport can be provided (in the Rollerbeats van) and you will be expected to drive to all venues.

We generally travel no further than 1.5hours (one way) with most of our venues being within 30mins to one hour travelling (one way).


Occasionally there may be a requirement to stay overnight for venues that are too far to drive to and from in one - however this will not be something regular.


Skills required

You'll need:

  • Clean Driving Licence required due to insurance restrictions this person needs to be over the age of 2
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to carry out a number of tasks at the same time
  • Fluent and engaging communication and people skills
  • Creative approach to problemsolving
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timescales
  • Event Management experience desirable, but not essential
  • Experience of driving vans up to 3.5tonnes is desirable but not essential
  • Positive mind set with a can do attitude
  • Ability to skate is desirable but not essential but the desire to learn is essential

£11.00 per hour
