JOB TITLE:
Instrumentation & Electrical Advisor**
_ This is an offshore rotation role (28x28) in Equatorial Guinea. The role will be offered on full time employee basis, travel, accommodation and food while on rotation is provided._

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Leads and trains the activities of the Instrument / Electrical Technicians
  • Adheres to all safety rules and regulations in carrying out work.
  • Carries out the calibration, troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and electronic equipment.
  • Incudes diagnosing faults, determining optimal procedures/equipment to remedy and repair.
  • Coordinates the safe and efficient implementation of preventive maintenance schedules (identifying
- priorities, team resource allocation, and classification of tools and equipment)

  • Develops and updates preventive maintenance schedules for all instruments and electrical equipment on the facility.
  • Demonstrates competency in monitoring backlog work orders and progress and complete outstanding work orders and compiles shutdown work scope items.
  • Reviews recommended modifications or projects to study the technical feasibility and gives recommendation on standardization of material and compatible equipment.
  • Evaluates performance of instrumentation, electronic and electrical equipment and machinery and recommend modifications as necessary, to enhance safety and efficiency to minimize cost.
  • Defines optimum stock and reorder levels and to ensure availability of spare parts. Coordinate with Logistics for delivery of part. Including issuing requisitions
  • Prepares documentation regarding repairs and overhauls of instrumentation electronic and electrical equipment to be sent for repairs offsite.
  • Develops competency assurance guidelines and recommends training for technicians, including mentoring and tutoring.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • B.S. Engineering or related Science based degree.
  • Previous field experience as Lead Instrument / Electrical Technician or Supervisor
  • 10 years' experience in instrument / electrical maintenance in oil industry or similar
