Overview:

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to a service dedicated to progressing the adoption/implementation of resource (e.g.

energy and water) efficiency measures to help reduce:

residents' resource consumption and costs, and emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants from domestic properties in Buckinghamshire.

About us:

The Council's Climate Change and Air Quality Strategy was adopted in 2021 and the Energy and Climate Change Team is tasked with helping fulfill the commitments set out in this document.

A report detailing the progress made against the commitments of the strategy has recently been produced and is available online.

Buckinghamshire Council is a relatively new organisation that combines the strengths and expertise of the previous five councils in the county to create positive change for local people, communities, and businesses.

We are firmly focused on the future and have made a clear commitment to serve residents better and to provide stronger representation for Buckinghamshire, both locally and nationally.

About the role:

It's envisaged that a new domestic resource efficiency service will be launched soon by the Council, which will help reduce

residents' resource consumption and costs, and emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants from domestic properties in Buckinghamshire.

The new domestic resource efficiency service will be managed by the Team, which has helped secure £7.43 million to improve the energy performance of eligible homes in Buckinghamshire under the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery and Sustainable Warmth schemes.

The purpose of this role is to provide effective administrative support to this service, which includes:

  • responding to requests from internal and external stakeholders for visits to domestic properties from Domestic Resource Efficiency Officers
- maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) and other service-related information systems.
- providing general information about the Domestic Resource Efficiency Service and advice on the support available to assist residents' management of energy and water (and associated costs) etc.
- assisting with the procurement, delivery and control of materials required to deliver the Service.; and,
- supporting the effective and efficient delivery of the service (including contributing to the production of Service performance reports, the creation and refinement of Service processes and policies; and communications initiatives regarding the Service).

This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in combatting fuel poverty and climate change to join an innovative and dynamic Team at the Council.

You will be helping establish a new service that will help reduce residents' energy costs and carbon emissions, at a time when energy prices have risen to unprecedented levels.

Key Accountabilities
The main responsibilities and duties of the Domestic Resource Efficiency Service Administrator are to:

  • Be the first point of contact for the Service and respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders for visits to domestic properties from Domestic Resource Efficiency Officers, providing appropriate customer service at all times.
  • Provide relevant and accurate information about the Domestic Resource Efficiency Service in a timely manner, and advice on the support available to assist residents' management of energy and water (and associated costs) etc.
  • Assist with the procurement, delivery and control of materials [e.g. low cost easy retrofit resource efficiency (LCERRE) measures such as LED lightbulbs, and reflective radiator panels] required to deliver the Service.
  • Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) and other Servicerelated information systems
  • Contribute to the production of Service performance reports, the creation and refinement of Service processes and policies; and communications initiatives regarding the Service.

Any-Desk:

As an 'any-desk' worker, you'll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required.

You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

About you:

We are looking for individuals that have relevant experience of working in customer facing and administrative support roles, are able to demonstrate an awareness of the support and measures available to reduce energy and water consumption in domestic properties, and have:
