Description
We are looking for a
FLT Counterbalance
Driver on a
permanent basis for our client based in
Ross-on-Wye.

FLT Operative Duties -

  • Work with haulier drivers to sort and load trucks
  • Assemble and wrap product to customer requirements and ensure product is labelled/packed to a very high quality


  • Unloading trailers

  • Pallets/Plastic/Plasterboard (consumables) and general deliveries.
  • Splitting pallets of product and relabelling as required, ensuring product is labelled correctly for despatch
  • Driving forklift in any of the designated area's in the factory to ensure the line is kept running


  • Shunter driving

  • Moving trailer around the yard and in and out of loading bays


  • Returns

  • Unloading returns and recording the returns in the correct manner
  • Help with month end stock take when required

You will also be required to comply with the below -

  • Health & Safety regulations
  • Ensure that quality guidelines are followed for all areas
  • Flexible working hours to meet deadlines
  • Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management
  • Communicate with the Despatch Office, shift leader or coordinator any shortages or problems with loads.

Key attributes and skills for a FLT Operative -

  • Team player who will work with others to achieve company goals
  • Confident FLT driver within relevant Counterbalance licence and experience (must be confident driver)
  • Customer focused attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Hours :
Rotating Shifts 6am - 2pm / 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday


Salary:
£22,639 (£10.89 per hour SA)
