Description
1. Undertaking the sessions as detailed in the job plan and sharing in the general work of the department.

  • Individual responsibility for the safety, privacy and dignity of patients in their charge.
  • Working cohesively with other members of the radiology team to provide an efficient and effective service.
  • Providing consultation and advice on the appropriate imaging in conjunction with clinical staff.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Participating in the general professional training of medical, nursing, radiographic and other staff.
  • Participating in discrepancy and clinical governance meetings
  • Instrumental in departmental and inter-departmental clinical audit.
  • Actively participating in evaluating and co-ordinating clinical trials in conjunction with colleagues and the Research and Development department.
  • Undertaking administrative duties associated with the work of the post and the Radiology department.
  • Participating in the on-call rota.
  • Ensuring continuous professional development and keeping up to date with job planning, mandatory training, appraisal and the revalidation process requirements.
Participating in, or expert clinical advice to, service re-design and quality improvement initiatives.
