Our client have an exciting opportunity available for a
1st Line Helpdesk Engineer
to join their existing team in Barnsley
.

You will join them on a full-time, permanent basis

They are currently seeking the very best people, to further strengthen their position within the industry by appointing dedicated individuals to share in their success.

**The
1st Line Helpdesk Engineer role: **As their
1st Line Helpdesk Engineer, your role entails the diagnosis of helpdesk incidents and to either resolve the ticket to the owner's satisfaction or escalate it to an appropriate team member.


You will complete the initial diagnosis of support incidents and either resolve to the ticket owners satisfaction using documented processes and procedures or escalate to Second Line Technical Support or Application Development Support using agreed protocols.

As their 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer, you will have:

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A good understanding of customer service, to promote professional conduct and company values internally and externally
  • IT literate, able to learn in-house systems and explain concepts clearly to others
  • Analytical, research and problem solving skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Due to shift work own transport would be advantageous
