An excellent opportunity is available for a part-qualified, career driven Assistant Management Accountant who is looking to develop their career within an ambitious business

The Company

Seymour John are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a part qualified Assistant Management Accountant with a minimum of two years' experience within a management account role.

The Opportunities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions, banking and cash reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and making sure that elements of the P&L are reported correctly.

Responsibilities will include:

Weekly cashflow reporting, including 6 months forecast
Support on the preparation of monthly management accounts
Maintenance of an appropriate control schedule for all balance sheet reconciliations, which can be used as audit evidence
Preparation and post of journals
Assist with the preparation of budget and forecast
Assist with preparation of year end accounts and work with the auditors
Analysis of variances, and monitoring of KPIs
Support the Finance Manager with VAT and tax reporting
Management of monthly payroll
Work closely with nonfinance teams to understand processes, resolve reconciling items on balance sheet recs, identify possible improvements and savings and ensuring timely and appropriate escalation of issues to the relevant parties in the business
Assist with dividends reporting
Assist with implementation of new IT systems and improve current processes
