Description

Due to the award of new programmes, a global manufacturer with a large number of European sites has a new vacancy for a Buyer to join the team.

An experienced purchasing professional, you will be responsible for identifying new suppliers, developing supplierrelations, coordinating procurement activities and ensuring on time delivery in line with customer requirements.


Commutable from:
Leicester, Coventry, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Rugby, Loughborough, Coalville.

Salary:
£ 3 0 ,000 - £ 38,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for:
Buyer, Senior Buyer.

The Role
Develop strong supplier relationships and agreements

Review and manage supplier performance

Assist with internal budget control systems

React to demand signals to ensure sufficient materials are available

Develop inventory strategies

Participate in development and implementation of continuous improvement activities within purchasing.

Ensure Purchase Orders are placed in a timely manner

Maintain pricing data held in MRP systems


The Person:

You must have strong communication skills with the confidence and ability to maximise cost savings with suppliers. Strong Excel skills would be beneficial.
