We are pleased to announce our Civils team has been awarded the Key Delivery Partner (KDP) 8 framework contract at Sellafield, Cumbria.
This framework will see projects being delivered through an industry leading collaboration between the client, programme partners, delivery partners and suppliers working together as an integrated team.
Our role will include design development and deliveryof the Concrete Structures, Groundworks and Blockwork package, estimated to be worth around £1bn over the next 15+ years.
As a result of this major project win, we are now seeking a
Planning Manager to effectively communicate the project's planning and controls roadmap and performance measures, as well as ensuring delivery is in line with all company, regionaland project business objectives.

You will be responsible for leading the planning & project controls function on tenders, projects or programmes of works depending on the specific role(s) or opportunity(s) within SRM's Civils Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the project planning and controls function
- Staff management, development and/or coaching responsibility
- Develop and maintain programmes, project controls deliverables and other timerelated materials, in conjunction with colleagues and other key stakeholders
- Develop relationships with client, professional team and supply chain
- Contribute to precontract planning and work winning
- Maintain a developed understanding of strategic planning and project management systems
- Implement robust project controls, accurate reporting status and forecasting
- Establish all necessary project controls providing: status, trends, forecasts, early warnings and exceptions reporting and contribute to mitigation measures to meet objectives
Your Profile:
- Excellent planning skills with a detailed understanding of construction methods
- A can do attitude, and work in an open and collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven tender planning experience
- Proven delivery phase planning and reporting experience within major Civils projects
- Working knowledge of NEC3 or
- An ability to provide strategic advice with an excellent attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of planning techniques including the alignment of BIM model into P6 (4D planning) via Synchro or equivalent
- Knowledge of construction methods and techniques in the field of heavy civils
