Job Purpose


The Management Accountant will report directly to the Head of Finance and will work closely with the rest of the Finance Team to produce monthly management information, including monthly accounts, reconciliation of control accounts and review of balances.

The role also include producing ad hoc reporting data to satisfy information requirements.

This role will also work closely with Head of Finance, liaising with all departments providing relevant information to decision makers and preparing reports/accountson time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Finance in Provide accurate and prompt information to the business
  • Liaise with other departments providing relevant information to decision makers
  • Assist in of Preparation of monthly management accounts for comparison against budgets, highlighting and reporting variances including: ? Intercompany reconciliation. ? Prepayments and Accruals. ? P&L preparation and investigation of major variances. ?Balance Sheet reconciliation and investigation of any variances. ? Funds flow and Cash flow. ? Revenue/client base breakdown analysis. ? Preparation of financial reporting information such as key cost analysis ? Commentary preparation
  • Assist in the budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes
  • Assist in Providing business growth projections/forecasts
  • Corporation tax calculation and payment
  • Cash flow management and weekly cash flow forecast
  • Quarterly VAT return
  • Assist in preparation of Audit file preparation
  • Assist in Insurance policies reporting
  • Assist the Sales Accountant whenever necessary
  • Reconciliation of control accounts
  • Assist in completion of customer invoicing processes and reconciliation of data
  • Assist with ad hoc project work, including transition and development of finance systems

What you Bring to the Team

  • Ability to organise & prioritise workload in order to meet strict deadlines
  • Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of financial reporting procedures
  • Ability to organise, manipulate and present large volumes of data using Excel spreadsheets
  • Can work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Have a recognised professional accountancy qualification or be studying towards such
