Job overview:


We are looking for a caring, resilient and proactive Learning Support Assistant to work in a 1:1 support role with one of our EHCP students.


The key characteristics that we are looking for are a high level of care, resilience and positive regard and the ability to build a strong and supportive relationship.

Experience of working with students with Autism/ADHD and/or an ELSA qualification is particularly desirable.


Your role will be both inside the classroom, providing support in lessons with focus, self-regulation and appropriate behaviour and also working 1:1 outside of some lessons to access curriculum work and also build strategies to manage anxiety and improve self-esteem and social interaction skills.

Hours : 32.5 per week

Weeks:
Term time only (38 weeks per year)


Actual salary:
£16,152,
Grade 5 (Salary is pro-rata to hours and weeks worked)

Knutsford Academy provides secondary education to over 1200 students aged from 11 to 18 in the historic town of Knutsford, less than 20 miles from the centre of Manchester and minutes from the M6 motorway.

Students arrive in Year 7 from the local primary schools in Knutsford and we also attract a number of students from the south Manchester and Northwich areas.

The school formed in 1953 as Knutsford High School and still operates from the original site in the centre of the town, it transferred to Academy status in 2012.


Knutsford Academy and Cheshire Studio School are part of The Learning Partnership.


The Learning Partnership is a new multi-academy trust that was formed on 1st September 2023 as a merger between The Learning Alliance and The Learning for Life Partnership.

The trust consists of fourteen schools, eight of which are primary schools and six are secondary schools, all based across East Cheshire and North Staffordshire.

The Knutsford Academy Team
Knutsford Academy is led by Headteacher Karen Key, who oversees the strategy and running of the school.
