ROLE OVERVIEW
Beavertownis looking for a Buying Assistant

Over the last 2 years we've seen the EcomChannel grow by 500%, which includes our clothing and accessories range.

You'llbe supporting the Buying Lead bypushing the boundaries with existing categories and supporting the ideationprocess that allows us to explore new and different categories and projects.

You'll help define the set the longer-term strategy that will help us deliver anew 'lifestyle brand' approach to our non-beer categories as well as keepingthe beer category product interesting, relevant, and commercially sound.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You'll support the Buying Lead in all areas of the product journey, from research & insight through to conception and final delivery
  • You'll monitor the market and identify trends and opportunities to help us push the boundaries in existing, new categories and partnerships
  • You'll take charge of the Shopify platform, from making sure all new products & SKUs are created correctly and ontime (beer & non beer)
  • You'll own the daytoday management of the product and pricing across the website, making sure product pages are up to date, from images through to copy, pricing, and merchandising. Including regular product & price reviews for under and over performing products (for beer and nonbeer products) (beer and nonbeer)
  • Along with the wider team you'll be responsible for managing the 'Specials' process, from briefing, through to sign off and launch (beer)
  • Via the Shopify platform you'll also be responsible for reporting and tracking success and using this info to spot trends and make recommendations for the future (beer and nonbeer)
  • Along with an internal Project Manager you'll ensure our 3PL partner is kept up to date with new campaigns, product launches and key changes to product or forecasting (beer and nonbeer)
  • Along with the Buying Lead you'll be responsible for managing the critical paths from product conception to delivery, as well as accurately forecasting and placing purchase orders (beer and nonbeer)
  • You'll act as a creative support for the team helping to manage product photoshoots, from idea briefing through to organising samples and being actively present on shoot days (beer and nonbeer)
  • Along with our 3PL partner and wider internal teams, you'll assist in the monthly stocktake, using this data to help keep forecasts and reorders up to date. You'll also work with the finance team to ensure any discrepancies are accounted for
  • You'll be able to efficiently negotiate cost prices and MOQs with suppliers to achieve margins, while maintaining quality and design, as well as sourcing new opportunities

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • You'll have 1 years buying experience, ideally within a DTC / FMCG world and looking to make the next step up.
  • You'll be good at communication and building relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate a love and passion for the Beavertown brand.
  • You'll need prior understanding of the product development journey & working with critical path timelines.
  • With strong excel skills.
  • You'll be a strong and confident negotiator.
  • An analytical thinker and a bit of a reporting nerd, you'll love to find answers and discover new and better ways to deliver activity.
  • Be super driven and motivated, with a handson approach and willingness to get stuck in and support wider teams.
  • Previous knowledge of Shopify is a plus.
  • Excel (moderate).
  • Basic Adobe skills would be a plus.
  • You'll always be up for a new challenge and be all over the latest trends and insights to help us constantly learn and improve.
  • Finally, you'll be a hard worker, but also up for a laugh. You'll be working as part of a friendly, lively team
