Description

The team at Ortus Recruitment are looking for a Teaching Assistant to prepare children with additional needs for their future by supporting in their emotional, social and academic development. You will play a key role in helping them develop their personalities and minds by exposing them to ideas and experiences that will help them gain a solid grounding in the world.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Manage behaviour effectively
Support on a 1:1 basis with SEN pupils
Lead interventions to raise attainment
Support emotional, social and academic development
Monitor progress through targets
Building nurturing attachments and fostering trust

Learning Support Mentor Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related qualification
Classroom based experience
Behaviour management experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
