We have exciting opportunities for permanent Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistants to work with our Occupational Therapy Teams within the Secure Care Division - across High, Medium and Low Secure Services.


Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust specialises in providing high quality care to men and women with a Learning Disability and Mental Health problems.

The Secure and Specialist Learning Disability Division have a number of Forensic and Enhanced Support services that include High Secure, Medium Secure, Low Secure, Step Down and Enhanced beds based within inpatient services or in the community.

We also have a dedicated Specialist Support Team that provides support in the community.


Each service is delivered using the least restrictive principles, maximising opportunities for service users to work towards more independent living and receive specialist therapy geared to their personalised recovery.

The service operates with a strong focus on multidisciplinary team working and the utilisation of all staff in delivering integrated therapy over the 24 hour period.


We are looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants who can demonstrate compassion and empathy to our service users, improving the quality of care services within a Secure/Forensic Environment.


It is essential that you are enthusiastic, passionate, adaptable and highly motivated, with a keen interest in mental health and learning disabilities in forensic services.
