Description
Adecco are looking for an experienced Facilities Service Assistant with a clean drivers licence for our very busy client in Aberdeen
- To carry out a range of portering duties including the transportation by vehicle or manually of equipment, furnishings and other resources used on sites.
- To carry out a range of operational duties such as key management, mail distribution and delivery, cash handling and refuse collection & disposal.
- To deal effectively with a range of different incidents as they present themselves including fire alarm activations, noise complaints, lockouts, intruders and other emergency situations including administering first aid (when trained) and calling emergency services or Student Resident Assistants in accordance with guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to the Health & Safety policy. Carry out a range of Health & Safety related tasks including Fire Equipment Checks, reacting to adverse weather conditions, site security patrols in all weather conditions.
- To deal with a range of students staff and visitor queries, undertaking tours of the Village with prospective students and families.
- To be flexible in your approach to work and to undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by your line manager to meet company's operational requirements and to maintain a safe, clean and secure campus.
- Customer facing role
- Basic computing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing.
- Working own initiative and within a team environment.
- Calm and sympathetic approach when dealing with stressful situations.
- Shift patterns including nightshifts and dayshifts.
- Heavy lifting/physical tasks.
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather.
- A clean current full manual driving licence (held for at least one year) is required as duties include the transportation by company's vehicle equipment, furnishings and other resources used on the sites.
- A flexible approach to working pattern.
- Willing to undertake essential/mandatory training courses.
