Job Summary:


Our Disney Cruise Line team are looking for an experienced HR Specialist in maintaining compliance with company requirements of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW).


This role will be responsible for the Safety Certification for all Officers and Crew under the oversight of the Manager Certification and Training.

You will be managing the verification of all STCW Safety Certification and oversees data entry of STCW certificates and national medical certificates by the Certification and Training Coordinator.


  • This opportunity is based in Disney's Hammersmith Grove Office and will require you to be onsite _
    _four days__ per week._

_ Responsibilities_

  • Responsible for verification of all STCW Safety Certification; liaise with Procurement Allies, Disney Cruise Line HR, Recruiting and Scheduling teams and shipboard personnel, to ensure we receive copies of all required STCW Safety Certification. Liaise with national maritime administrations for verification of Marine and Technical Officer Certificates of Competency.
  • Produce weekly postembarkation reports for Staff Captains, Chief Officers Safety and Marine Operations Assistants to highlight any issues with STCW Safety Certification. Liaise with shipboard leadership regarding report content.
  • Liaise with Procurement Allies, DCL Crew Medical Services and Scheduling to verify all Marine and Technical Operations Officer and Crew national seafarer medicals are valid and in date.
  • Liaise with shipboard Marine Operations Assistants to identify and report technical issues with Tack to the Information Technology Tack Support Team.
  • Support HR Director in work session design, building roadmaps, strategies and plans.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Experience working in STWC, must have
  • Experience working as a HR professional, preferred
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Excellent multiple stakeholder management
  • Keen problem solver
