Description

We are seeking an experienced or developing engineer to join our team for our XYZ Lathe. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our XYZ lathe machine to produce high-quality precision parts. Training will be provided (if required) on the specific operating system.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical drawings
Set up the XYZ lathe machine with appropriate cutting tools
Monitor machine operations to ensure that parts are produced within tolerance levels and in accordance with quality standards
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as needed
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

Ideally direct experience working in a machine shop on manual or cnc lathes
Knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate parts within tight tolerances
Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
