Staff365 are seeking a forward-thinking professional to join our clients growing firm of chartered accountants based in Leeds LS13.Salary:
Circa 40k
The Job
You will have minimum 8 years solid practice experience.
You will be ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified with intricate and expert knowledge in tax and accounts preparation looking to further develop your career to a more challenging role whereby you will be client facingand will have to adapt to client needs by thinking out of the box with the various challenges they may face.
You will be commercially astute and have expert knowledge of how different taxes relate and impact client business.Your will be best placed to providesound practical advice to help clients grow their business which is practical and bespoke to client needs.
In return for your hard work and dedication you'll be on track to become a director within the next five to seven years.
You will be on track to build a solid team around you and will be manging different departments of the business.
You will be the pointof contact for junior team members who will seek your guidance on technical matters.
You will be reporting directly to the partners and will be heading the office team with eight members of staff reporting directly to you.
The role is predominantly Manager/Senior Accountant which entails reviewing accounts, Corporation & Personal Tax, and VAT for businesses with turnover between £500k and £15m.
Your duties, but not limited to, will include:
- Staff and practice development
- Accounts preparation for Limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Corporation Tax compliance
- Personal tax compliance
- Dealing with Payroll and Auto Enrolment issues
- Bookkeeping
- Preparation of tax computation for all account's assignments
- Monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Review of accounts files done by other members of the team
- Training clients on computerised accounting software
- Company secretarial tasks including minutes, and review of Confirmation statements
- Dealing with tax queries from clients
- Dealing with queries from HMRC
- Keep up to date with tax issues and changes, and do own research as necessary
- Dealing with all issues re. new clients
- Accounting assistance and support to other members of staff
- Point of contact to other members of staff on technical issues
Software Experience
Experience of the following will be crucial:
- Iris
- Xero
- QuickBooks
- Sage
- Moneysoft Payroll Manager
