What are we looking for?


You will have the equivalent of a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have at least one years experience within a similar setting, leading a team.

You will already hold a NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading or have a willingness to undertake this within 12 months of employment.


A little about the role:


Support the Senior Team Co-Ordinator and the Children's Services Manager to ensure that the environment is stimulating, structured and well organised for the children and a safe place to live, learn and work.


Support the Senior Team Co-Ordinator and the Children's Services Manager to ensure that the residential living accommodation and children's bedrooms are kept homely and comfortable and are kept clean, tidy, healthy and safe.


Organise team members, ensuring that all children are adequately supervised and that the general upkeep of the house is maintained.


If working hands on - Check on the children every twenty minutes throughout the night and record the checks and any additional information on the correct paperwork.


If running the night as the Night Leader - Answer the twenty minute calls throughout the night and record on the Night Allocation Record.

Ensure that a high level of care is provided to each of our children including undertaking personal care tasks as necessary, including toileting assistance, bathing, washing, dressing and supporting with meal and snack times


Undertake domestic duties such as housework, washing, cleaning & tidying of community areas, bathrooms, staff areas, kitchens, laundry, linen and resources cupboards.

Hours of work: 8.45pm to 7.45am. working 1 in 2 weekends. 40 hours per week, with a one hours unpaid break each night that you work.


Training & Development:


We aim to give you the best opportunity to learn hands on, how to do your role to the highest standard.

You will receive 2 weeks training on days and 2 weeks training on nights where you will shadow another manager.

You will also receive induction training weekly.

During this time you will have build stronger relationships with the children and have a better understanding of their likes and dislikes.

You will also learn about the role of Team Co-Ordinator.

We are passionate about staff development and progression at Loddon.

If you are not qualified to the equivalent of a NVQ level 2 in Team Leading, you will be enrolled once you have completed your 3-month probation.

Whilst you are with Loddon throughout your career you will continuously receive training and support as you develop.


Salary:

Salary is based on full time employment, is dependent on relevant qualifications and previous experience in similar settings. As a night worker you will also receive a 10% shift allowance.


All applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK and be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
