About Our Client:


This business is based in central Reading and has easy access via public transport as well as parking on site.

They operate in within a unique industry and have a small and proactive team that offers any creative Accounts Assistant an excellent opportunity.

The key duties of the Assistant Accountant will be:

  • Traditional transactional finance duties including maintaining the company purchase and sales ledgers involving processing supplier invoices and credit notes, raising sales invoices and billing clients.
  • General ledger activities such as posting credit cards, petty cash and reconciling regularly.
  • Bank reconciliations including multicurrencies.
  • Credit control producing accurate aged debtors' analysis and chasing outstanding debt.
  • Preparing payment run process including communication to approvers/signatories, suppliers, budget holders and employees.
  • Dealing with both internal and external queries including liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
  • Client reconciliations producing and sending these to clients on a regular basis.
  • Assisting with monthend processes.
  • Any additional tasks including routine office operations
