Salary:
£30,892 per annum
Contract Type:
Fixed Term Contract until end of May 2024, with potential for a contract extension
The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK.
Communications Officer - The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic communications professional to join our Digital Communications and Voter Engagement team.
You will support the team on projects to improve how we communicate with voters, and other key audiences, through our digital channels.
This is a fixed term contract, and during your time at the Commission you will be helping to communicate changes which result from the Elections Act to voters.
Communications Officer - You:
- The right person for this role will be proactive and enthusiastic
- They will be confident driving their own projects, juggling conflicting priorities and working with different stakeholders
- To be successful in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills to build relationships both inside and outside the Commission
- You will also need strong written and verbal communication skills, have an eye for detail and be good at making sense of complex information
- Being able to use sound judgement and to think creatively about how to solve problems are also essential qualities in this role
