Our highly-regarded Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) team has a very exciting opportunity available for someone who'd like to grow their career in Health & Safety, Environment and Quality performance.

This is a 'blended working' role split between home, construction sites and the Malvern office.

How You'll Contribute

In this busy role, you will:

assist the environmental, health and safety managers with pre-construction risk assessments identifying controls

- assist the environmental, health and safety managers and Estimators in considering required actions at tender stage
- in due course, assist with Environmental, Health and Safety site inspections and audits under the guidance of the SHEQ Team
- allow continued adherence to Company SHEQ Policy and associated regulations
- when needed, develop and provide SHEQ training to employees
- champion environmental initiatives that reduce the carbon footprint produced by the Company
- act as a Company representative on Environmental, Health and Safety matters, working alongside the EHS to present our credentials at project specific presentations and across general marketing profiles.
- assist the SHEQ and Social Value Lead in championing the principles of the Considerate Constructors and similar schemes and providing site specific assistance to assist with compliance
- offer assistance and guidance to the directors and contract managers in drafting and developing site specific Environmental Management Plans, Green Travel Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and Construction Phase Plans
- monitor and review implementation of the plans at site level assisting with the presentation of topic specific tool box talks to increase environmental, Health and Safety awareness
- assist in ensuring the compliance of company environmental management with the ISO14001 procedure manual and in demonstrating this at external audit and assist in ensuring the compliance of company Quality procedures with ISO45001

Essential

Degree or postschool level qualification in either SHEQ or construction management combined with some relevant work experience OR
Handson work experience in Health & Safety/SHEQ within the Construction industry
