Our Clinical Education Team is looking for a highly motivated, well organised and innovative Band 6 Registered Nurse.

You will join to support our pre registration students and registered workforce.

  • The post holder will be required to support learners across a variety of clinical programmes including International Nurses, Pre
- registration Nursing (direct entry and apprentice), Return to Practice, Preceptorship, Trainee Nursing Associate and Trainee Assistant Practitioner students as such is expected to:

  • Be responsible for liaising directly with partner organisations such as the University of Plymouth and the University of Exeter in relation to specific programmes e.g. Nurse Degree apprenticeships, Nursing Associate programmes.
  • Manage and respond to sensitive information regarding staff, learners or students using empathy and tact, for example when dealing with individuals who are failing to meet academic or practice standards or those requiring extra support or extenuating circumstances.
  • Ensure there is a coordinated approach liaising with Managers, Matrons and the Education Programme Lead in planning appropriate educational delivery
  • Work closely with clinical services in the delivery of student placements and assessments, ensuring the relevant standards are met and that programmes are appropriately evaluated and developed.
  • Contribute to the delivery of educational programmes for area of professional practice / specialism. The post holder will work with the other Education Facilitators to ensure all education programmes are delivered effectively.
  • Respond to requests for data to support the Sustainable Transformation Plan (STP) footprint eg: Health Education England.
