We are an independent family-owned small animal and exotics practice located in Christchurch, Dorset, and are looking for TWO additional part time members for our Client Care team - these are both 12 month maternity cover positions.

We are a registered ISFM Cat Friendly practice, and also a Fear Free practice. Fear Free training is mandatory and will be paid for by the practice.

You need to have exceptional people skills - friendly, enthusiastic and compassionate, able to handle emotional situations and busy shifts.

You need to be organised, calm in a crisis, and able to multi-task.

You will be the first person our clients and pets meet when they contact or enter the clinic, and you need to make them feel welcome, build a relationship with them, and be able to provide help and support at all times.

Prior veterinary experience is preferred, but not essential - we are looking for the right person to fit within our practice culture, and training will be provided.

Please note that this is NOT a trainee nurse position or a pathway to a veterinary nurse apprenticeship, we are specifically looking for a team member who enjoys and recognises the importance of the reception/client care role within the team.

These are part time, temporary, 12 month maternity cover positions.

The hours required would be 25 hours per week, split into 5 x 5h shifts Mon-Fri, variable starts between 8am and 7:30pm (with 3 shifts per week being 7:30pm finishes, can be more if you have a preference for evening shifts), and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8am-12:30pm).

The Saturdays would be in addition to the 25h/week.
