An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Health Assistant to join our public health team.

In the role you will develop an understanding and experience of public health within the operational environment of the Council's Public Health and Wellbeing Group.


The role will involve undertaking a range of operational and technical support so the department can deliver a range of projects and programmes.

You will support in the preparations of briefings, reports, and presentations, including researching information ensuring it is accurate and relevant.

It is essential you have experience of using Microsoft Office packages, IT skills and experience of secretarial or other support services.


As part of the duties of Public Health Assistant you will be completing administration for the public health management team and ensuring agendas are prepared and complete to the required standard and minutes are recorded in a timely manner.


As Public Health Assistant you will have experience of good communication and interpersonal skills as well as displaying political sensitivity and diplomacy.

You will have experience of working in a busy environment and managing a varied workload to tight timescales.
