The Faculty of Economics at the University of Cambridge is one of the leading, and longest standing, economics faculties in Europe.

We are recruiting a website professional to fill a 0.4FTE job share in the Faculty of Economics IT Team.

This is a key role in our busy and friendly IT Team, who will give technical support to all aspects of web presence, both public and internal websites.


We are seeking someone with experience of creating and developing websites using a content management system, ideally with experience of Drupal.

Our websites are partly database driven, so experience or working with Maria/MySQL databases and writing PHP would be an advantage.


The post is also responsible for supporting the staff who run the teaching intranets for students using Moodle, giving advice and training and strategic direction.

These are also used for internal administration purposes, but in time it is expected these will be moved to a Sharepoint-based service, in line with University policy, and this post will lead that process.


The Faculty IT Team of four staff supports the academic, professional services and students in all aspects of teaching and research through a combination of on-site and remote working.

It is well-respected and has a very good reputation for providing a high level of support.
