Job IntroductionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Services Supervisor to join our team at Fortrea CRU clinical research unit in Leeds.
As an essential part of our technical services team at the site, you will ensure the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on the sites.
Your role will be to provide technical leadership and guidance to your team and subcontractors, using your comprehensive knowledge of building services systems.
You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of personal technical ability, enabling you to lead the team effectively in your role.

MAIN RESPOSIBILITIES
- Coordinate labour (direct and sub contract) to ensure delivery of the Planned Preventative Maintenance Service
- Manage the provision of a reactive maintenance service during normal operating hours of the site
- Lead in the provision of a reactive maintenance service outside operating hours of the site.
- Undertake routine and adhoc audits of both planned and reactive works to ensure high standard. of compliance and quality
- Encourage and participate in departmental energy saving schemes and promote the understanding and importance of the economic use of energy
- Undertake Employee Appraisals/ Performance Reviews including the identification of training and development needs
- Responsibility for the operation of the Permit to Work System
- To formulate, develop and implement systems that will ensure plant is maintained and operated to its optimum efficiency
- Supervision and safety management of subcontractors
- Monitor site performance of subcontractors and make recommendations for subcontractor nominations
- Ensure the asset database is fully updated and items are correctly managed
- Use of IT systems to provide/monitor data within the CMMS, Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems, including use of PDA for Real Time Reporting into CMMS
- Responsible with the SHEQ team to the upkeep, monitoring, assessment and reviewing of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have a strong background in technical supervision and already held a similar position to our role in which you would have been the authorised person for one or more of the following disciplines
- Working at Height, Low Voltage Electrical, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems.
You will also have:
- IOSH Managing Safety.
- Experience of Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM).
- Good numeracy and computer literacy
- Good analysis and decision making skills
- Exceptional leadership skills.
REMUNERATION
You will receive a of up to £40,000 plus access to a suite of excellent benefits.
