Job Role:
Roving Station Cleaner


Location:
Hayes (West Wickham to Eden Park

inc. all stations inbetween)

Shifts:
Monday - Sunday 08:00 - 16:00, 13:00 - 21:00, 05:00 - 13:00 (you must be fully flexible to cover all stated shifts)


Pay rate:
£11.75 per hour

What does a roving station cleaner do?

Responsibilities:


  • General cleaning of the platform, booking hall and customer toilets
  • Emptying and changing of bin bags
  • Poster Board Cleaning
  • General cleaning of the workplace to include mess room, and offices
  • Cleaning of touch points including window seals
  • Cleaning of seating and shelters
  • Glass Cleaning
  • Litter picking and sweeping of stations
  • Removal of fly stickers within reach
  • Provide an overall clean environment for customers
  • Perform station related activities as directed by the Local Manager such as the removal of litter
  • Complete paperwork as required, detailing and signing for all work carried out
  • Advise Station Manager / Supervisor of any problems or defects identified and any work arising from the issues
  • Assisting at other stations in the area as required
  • Additional tasks as specified by Local Manager
  • Undertaking any duties or responsibilities as required

Safety Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety systems and responsibilities, at all times
  • Develop a proactive approach to safety and quality issues
  • Ensure your personal safety, and that of others, always
  • Carry out emergency procedures when required
  • Report any irregularities, faults, or unusual occurrences in the prescribed manner, maintaining a written record
  • Wear uniform and safety clothing, including name badge
  • Participate in all staff briefings to ensure you are informed of all relevant information
  • Examine all notices, publications and instructions
  • Undertaking any duties or responsibilities as required

Essential Requirements

  • You must hold valid ID to work in the UK and have a full national insurance number.
  • You will be required to pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • You must be fully flexible for various shift patterns
  • You must be outgoing, confident and be able to make station announcements if required

ALL OUR ROLES ARE BASED WORKING IN A RAILWAY ENVIRONMENT, THESE ARE CLASSED AS 'SAFETY CRITICAL' THEREFORE YOU MUST BE COMFORTABLE AND ABLE TO DO SO.
