The Role

As a Training and Events Co-ordinator, you will plan, manage and deliver a varied training programme to meet the continuing professional development (CPD) needs of structural engineers and other built environment professionals.

This will consist of digitaland in-person courses and webinars. You will also assist with the delivery of key Institution events including conferences, awards, dinners, and corporate events.

Under the direction of the Head of Professional Development & Events you will serve as firstpoint of contact for trainers, speakers, attendees and enquiries and provide support to the Training and Events Team.

You will be part of a team of 5 reporting to the Head of Professional Development and Events. You should feel comfortable communicating with colleagues across the Institution, industry professionals and third-party suppliers.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Sound judgement and problemsolving skills
  • Experience providing great customer service
  • Excellent administration skills
Experience organising events previously would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

We are based on the edge of the city, our office is bright, modern and open plan. We are a small and friendly workforce.

We are presently operating a working model of office based and remote working and envisage operating a longer-term hybrid working model.
