Page Personnel are currently supporting a successful global business to recruit a Management Accountant to join their International team in Bury.

This role will be supporting their international market where you will own the end-to-end processes within theteam. This market is the biggest investing area offering maximum exposure to all aspects and projects. This role offers hybrid working.

Description

  • Managing and production of the monthly management accounts for Austria & Germany entities.
  • Detailed variance analysis, with supporting commentary and evidence for any adverse/favourable variances.
  • Maintain full financial control on all balance sheet areas for responsible markets. Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are regularly completed & reviewed, with all risks and opportunities understood.
  • Drive for efficiencies across the international business by identifying cost trends and best working practices.
  • Work with the commercial team to feedback month end variances for budgeting/reforecast purposes.
  • Adhere to group reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure a consistent reporting\analytical approach is applied to all countries.
  • Daily and weekly sales reporting.
  • Liaising with other departments to proactively resolve queries and be a point of contact for German Office.
  • Assisting with yearend audits & Statutory Accounts.
  • Ad hoc analysis/queries as required.

Profile

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:


  • Finalist accountant
  • Experience of management accounting essential.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal required.
  • Strong analytical skills required in order to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall international business performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience of managing relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Experience of Oracle Financials useful (though training will be provided).
  • Retail industry experience desirable.
  • Fluent German speaker advantageous.
