We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Control Supervisor to join our Finance team.

The successful applicant will supervise the A-J Credit Ledger team to chase current debt and aged balances in a timely effective manner.

The successful applicant willsupervise the Credit/Non Credit team to chase current debt and aged balances in a timely effective manner.

The successful applicant will also Work closely with the Credit Manager to bring accounts into line with credit limits and terms.

We believe the successful Credit Control Supervisor should have the following skills:

Ability to motivate a team
Proven ability to work under pressure in a proactive manner
To demonstrate an ability to manage the performance of the team
Minimum of 5 years credit control (haulage/shipping background preferred
Supervisory Experience
Experience managing teams of between 10 and 15 people. Current total team is with Supervisor and Manager).
Excellent time management skills
Excellent telephone manner

The key tasks for the Credit Control Supervisor are:

Maintain high standards in all aspects of cash collection
Motivate team to pursue outstanding debt in timely effective manner as well as controlling own portfolio of customers
Leading and coaching the team on daytoday activity
Deal with daytoday staff issues. Holiday & Sickness etc
Assisting the Credit Control Manager with managing the performance of the team through conducting Performance Reviews
Show initiative/enthusiasm in dealing with the problem accounts and where necessary escalate through Credit Control Manager and Operational General Managers
Research and suggest suitable credit limits for new customers
Provide cover in Credit Managers absence
Driving process change/cross training
Responsible for leading 121 procedure/mid and end of year reviews.
Encouraging engagement on positive approach to improvements.
Helping to Maintain and improve % debt overdue/DSO and bad debt
Working on Risk and improving compliance.
Helping to drive IT Strategy solutions.
Building relationships with other Finance Supervisors.
Building strong relationships with the Key accounts and to empower the team to do the same, with professionalism. Intercepting escalations to support on key decisions.
