Pay Rates:
£12.45 per hour


Shift Patterns:
Monday

  • Friday 9am5pm (37.5 hours a week)


Working in procurement you'll support the buying of an array of consumables, focusing on competitive pricing, which has a positive impact on the delivery of care across the Hospital wards.


You'll find solutions to everyday problems, such as:

  • Prepare and initiate non-pharmaceutical orders, using Integra and NHS Supplies systems, following departmental and NHS procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the rolling and highcost drugs stock takes within the department, ensuring that they are completed as required and as per departmental SOP.
  • Oversee and ensure recording of stock adjustments and shortdated items
  • Responsible for purchasing pharmaceuticals following regional, national and local contracts & policies from suppliers and wholesalers, including authorising orders, when providing cover and within departmental procedures.
  • Raise medical gas orders as required.

What you'll need:


  • Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written

  • Microsoft office skills
  • Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous admin experience
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous procurement experience
  • This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience._
