Shift Patterns:
Monday
- Friday 9am5pm (37.5 hours a week)
Working in procurement you'll support the buying of an array of consumables, focusing on competitive pricing, which has a positive impact on the delivery of care across the Hospital wards.
You'll find solutions to everyday problems, such as:
- Prepare and initiate non-pharmaceutical orders, using Integra and NHS Supplies systems, following departmental and NHS procedures.
- Manage and oversee the rolling and highcost drugs stock takes within the department, ensuring that they are completed as required and as per departmental SOP.
- Oversee and ensure recording of stock adjustments and shortdated items
- Responsible for purchasing pharmaceuticals following regional, national and local contracts & policies from suppliers and wholesalers, including authorising orders, when providing cover and within departmental procedures.
- Raise medical gas orders as required.
What you'll need:
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous admin experience
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous procurement experience
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience._
