SWAP Tutor

Hull

Salary:
£24,757 - £27,859 per annum FTE


22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
As our
SWAP Tutor, you
will deliver teaching, learning and assessment in a classroom, work based or distance learning context across the following areas:

  • management / business admin (1 post)
- hospitality / customer service / retail (1 post)
- manufacturing / warehousing (1 post)

Responsibilities of our
SWAP Tutor:


  • Carrying out enrolment, initial assessment, induction, prescreening and information sessions for learners and employers across all of the above areas.
  • Carrying progress reviews, action plans through the appropriate method and update learners and employers on progress towards achievement in line with college and contractual requirements
  • Checking all areas of learner welfare in the workplace. Health and safety, equality, safeguarding adequate supervision etc. and reporting any concerns back to line manage
  • Generating new business opportunities within funded projects
  • Implementing internal quality assurance plans and activities in line with college procedures as and when required within area of competency
  • Supporting other delivery staff in delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment
**What we're looking for in our
SWAP
  • Tutor: - Subject specific Level 3/4 qualification
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training/Cert Ed/PGCE (or willingness to achieve within two years)
  • Minimum of a level 2 qualification in English and maths
  • Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a classroom, workshop or workplace environment
  • Experience of working with a range of qualifications and awarding bodies
  • Knowledge of at least one specialist sector: management / business admin; hospitality / customer service / retail; manufacturing / warehousing
