Description

We are a forward thinking and dynamic Practitioner led unit treating a variety of interesting and challenging minor illnesses, injuries, and trauma.


We are looking for applicants that are enthusiastic, proactive, flexible, and dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care.


Our team believes strongly maintaining a positive team culture and values all members who work cohesively together in a supportive environment.


We have a mixed walk in and booked appointment service through our Telephone Triage service and see patients from aged 1 year onwards.

We take referrals from 111, SWAST and Locality GPs.


The team consists of MIU Matron, Team Lead, Senior Emergency Practitioners, Emergency Practitioners, Student EP's, Paramedics, Staff nurses, health care assistants, Trainee nurse associates and Patient administrators.

The successful applicant requires the advanced skills and knowledge to see, treat and discharge patients,

They require

  • Emergency Practitioner qualification
  • Minor illness Qualification and experience
  • A recognised qualification in the management of minor illness and injury in children aged 1 year and above.
