Finance Assistant - Salary up to £30,000 + Benefits - Permanent - Manchester

  • VH Financial Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for someone early on in their career who has accounts experience which they are keen to develop.


Do you have experience in Accounts Payable and would like to further expand your knowledge of sales ledger/bank recs/ expenses? Or you may have had experience dealing with receivables/cash management and would like to be hands-on with payables.

As long as you have some experience, you will gain exposure to areas of finance.

This is a small finance team and therefore a flexible approach is required. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and this is a fantastic place to work


Role Duties:


  • Checking & coding supplier invoices (against delivery notes, price lists & coding to preset budgets).
  • A high volume of purchase ledger processing is required.
  • Supplier statements & account reconciliations/query resolution.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Bank accounts are reviewed daily & reconciled/finalised monthly.
  • Intracompany recharging.
  • Tenant recharging.
  • Processing of expense claims.
  • Credit control, debtor letters and calls.
  • Service charge accounting (including yearend rec, budgets, a tenant on accounts, etc).
  • Utilities reconciliation & recharging.
  • VAT reporting & submissions.
  • Yearend financial reporting with external auditors.
  • P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • Quarterly management reports.

Key skills/requirements

  • Previous experience working in a finance team
  • Team player, open to covering other tasks during team absences
  • Self starter
  • Highly organised

Salary:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
