JOB SUMMARY


A multifaceted role on the front line in providing high quality, friendly & fun beverage service to all guests of the speakeasy style whilst utilizing the unique Luggage Room welcome.

Tasked with the brief to always provide high quality, high energy and memorable guest experiences at The Luggage Room by ensuring orders are accurate and service is effective and efficient.

Lives the service culture of a Neighborhood bar where relationships and guest interactions are at the core of the operations.

Responsibilities will include all aspects of the operational day to day running of the bar itself from preparation, cocktail crafting to table service.

Further responsibilities are found in completing opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • 1 year of previous experience working within a cocktail bar or similar environment preferred.
  • Good level of English essential

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Guest Service focused.
  • Innovative
  • Proactive and reliable
  • Able to work alone and within a team.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

CORE ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES**- To ensure that the bar is prepared and ready for service.

  • To greet all guests, using the guests' name as often as possible.
  • To take orders, serve drinks to ensure that guests have a great experience in 'The Luggage Room'.
  • To assist in serving food as required.
  • To ensure that food and drinks are served in a consistent manner, in line with standard presentation, garnishes etc.
  • To maintain the highest level of cleanliness, including safety of furniture, fixtures and fittings.
  • To 'Clean as you go' to ensure a clean and tidy work area, and to follow the routine bar cleaning schedule.
  • To ensure that the guests bill is accurate.
  • To ensure that payment is received from all guests and posted through Micros.
  • To ensure appropriate cash handling procedures are followed.
  • To recommend and 'sell' to guests through menu knowledge, suggestive and upselling techniques.
  • To be responsible for the safe keeping of all keys and bar area is locked upon completion of the shift.
  • To ensure that all food and beverage stuffs are correctly stored, dated, labelled and rotated where necessary.
  • To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • To enable Account and House charges are recorded accurately.
  • To maintain healthy interdepartmental relationships.
  • To adhere to the Licensing Laws and Weights and Measures Act.
  • To be empowered to deal with guest problems, through using the LEARN process, and seeking advice when unsure what to do.
