£10.42 per hour (pay award pending)

18 hours per week (3 shifts per week, Monday to Sunday) (2 posts)

We are looking for a
Catering Assistant to join our fantastic Facilities team.

The post holder will assist in the preparation and distribution of high quality food to patients, staff and visitors to the Hospice whilst helping to maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a fast paced kitchen or café environment and an understanding of food preparation and storage.

Knowledge of health and safety in a kitchen environment is a must. A basic Food Hygiene certificate would be an advantage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and to develop catering skills.

Additional hours will also be available to cover sickness and holidays.

About St Joseph's Hospice

St Joseph's Hospice is one of the oldest hospices in the country, our UK service opened in Thornton in 1974 and now each year we provide care and support to over 200 people with life limiting conditions from within the West Lancashire, Sefton, Liverpool and Knowsley areas.

The hospice is set in 12 acres of tranquil woodland.
