Borders Gourmet based in Biggar, are manufacturers of ready meals to the retail sector.

We are looking to recruit a Food Operative.

The overall purpose of the job is to assist production to full fill production plans.


Your duties will include:

  • Handling, preparing and packing of ready meals
  • Working on a fast paced production line
  • Cleaning/ hygiene duties
  • Working to targets and deadlines

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience of working within a factory environment would be beneficial
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety and food hygiene requirements within a food production environment
  • Enthusiasm, excellent time management skills and be able to work using your own initiative to work to tight deadlines

Hours of work:
Monday

  • Friday 7.00am 3.00pm
