MTrec's New Opportunity;
The Job You'll Do;
- Manage and coordinate the operational infrastructure in Unit 2 Cleanroom to meet production requirements.
- Effectively maintain safety, quality, service, cost and productivity performance to ensure all targets are met.
- Oversee the checking of the quality of components manufactured through inspection.
- Develop and implement production policies and procedures.
- Manage team performance via coaching, support and the use of formal procedures where necessary.
- Liaise with Training Coordinator to identify training needs and support development.
- Identify and undertake continuous improvement activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies.
- Provide support on all production processes and address issues as they arise.
- Conduct frequent team brief/shift meetings with Team Leaders covering health & safety, quality, absence, targets and cost.
- Always maintain accurate inventory of all products.
- Collect and analyse production data and produce reports as required, sharing information with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as requested.
- Advocate the Core Values and demonstrate associated behaviours.
- Working closely with the Operations Manager and other departments to improve overall output.
About You;
- Previous Production Leader / Management Experience within high volume manufacturing, FMCG or Tier 1 Automotive.
- A good understanding of lean practices such as 5S, 5Why, TPM.
- Ability to maintain high standards in high pressure situations.
- Effective influencing and negotiating skills.
- Ability to manage challenging environments.
- The ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels.
- High level of numerical and analytical ability.
- Experience of manufacturing to high quality standards.
- Experience of Lean Management Techniques/ Kaizen.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
- A confident approach to decisionmaking.
