The individual team members have varying experience ranging from 6 to more than 40 years working with the IBM z/OS environment.

While the individuals are aligned under the four managers, they work cohesively as a team. They all participate in duty rotationssuch as on-call, build / deploy and disaster recovery exercise support.

Individuals product support assignments can change to meet not only the needs of the team use, but the individual, to develop both their technical and behavioral or management skills.

The primary mindset for success in OSS-PPE is that we are a team and we are here to support each other and maintain the professional reputation of the team.

The technical manager's role is to protect, defend and grow his team, which can only succeed when theteam behaves and executes in a manner to empower the technical manager.

Key is risk awareness and adherence to policies and procedures to avoid unforeseen impact to our customers.

The technical manager looks for and encourages his team to be aware of long range opportunities for process and compliance improvement.

This can result in efforts to drive out variation, through simplification, standardization and tooling to support and accelerateour processes.
